April in Review

I dropped the ball when it came to reading and posting last month. I only read two children’s classics, and did not complete any challenges.  I also just remembered that I never wrote a reflection on the final chapters of Candide (this is now a month overdue). My excuse? April is a very busy time of the semester, and I am preparing for graduation. However, in May, I will have plenty of time to read.

Without further ado, these are the books I read in April:

Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery – 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH by Robery C. O’Brien – 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Books I Plan to Read in May

A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle

Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin

A Tale of Two Cities by  Charles Dickens (for a read-along hosted by Reading in Bed)

Scènes de la Vie de Bohème by Henri Murger

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt (will fall under Modern Detour)
